I have wanted to try this brand for ages and like a gift from god I was recently sent four products to test out. Malin + Goetz have been on my radar for a while and it was the minimal packaging that initially caught my eye. In a nut shell this is a natural skincare brand for sensitive skin which includes hair care, body care, fragrance and candles. Everything is developed for men and women. So far I’ve been using the Eucalyptus Deodorant and the Detox Face Mask.
In the last year brands have sent me almost every variety of natural deodorant and I’m starting to develop a complex. Do I stink? NO! One thing I’ve learned is that I prefer a deo stick as the liquid spays end up running down my arm. This one is a stick, it’s also alcohol free with a refreshing scent of eucalyptus and crucially – it works! I highly recommend it.
The detox face mask is where I get really excited. I wasn’t overjoyed when I first saw this as my skin is normal/dry and I regularly use retinol and exfoliating acids so I thought this might not be for me. It contains 0.3% soy protein and amino acid hydration technology plus a stable vitamin C and almond extract. Bear in mind this is a cleansing mask which isn’t apparent at first glance. I’ve chosen to apply it in the evening as a second cleanse after using a natural oil cleanser. The pump bottle is great as it keeps the ingredients stable and keeps any bacteria out allowing it to stay fresher for longer. I apply 3 pumps which looks like a cream and then foams whilst on the face, this part feels really good. After 4-5 minutes I remove it with a damp flannel, afterwards my skin literally GLOWS. It’s bright, hydrated and super soft and this is probably the best mask I have ever used.
I take great care of my skin and it generally looks good so when something makes a noticeable improvement I get super excited. I was skeptical if it could wow me a second time round so I tried it again the next evening and found the same glowing results. I asked my boyfriend to try it last night. His looked good afterwards and the next morning I could see the glow that I experienced straight away. I expect the difference is that my skin is already deeply exfoliated so the results were immediate and his took a little longer. All products are created in New York and nothing is tested on animals.
