Formulated with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid to soothe and hydrate skin (perfect for summer), apple fruit water stimulates the growth of keratin thereby strengthening the skin’s barrier function which is also extra beneficial during the sunnier months. From the ingredients mentioned this sounds like quite the juicy cocktail and I’m happy to say it smells as good as it sounds. The natural fragrance is fresh, juicy but not too sweet and exactly what I need after a long hot day.
In the past I’ve been skeptical of mists/toners as I was unsure if they really did anything. To be honest some of them are glorified water spritzes but I’ve warmed up to the idea of misting my face from time to time as some of them are actually very good. First of all the molecules tend to be smaller so if you are looking at an ingredient such as hyaluronic acid then it’s going to be a good idea. For those of you that think you have dry skin it’s likely your skin is in fact dehydrated. Only 10% of people have chronicly dry skin and when our skin is dehydrated drinking a bottle of water isn’t going to help other than flushing out your kidneys. I know! I didn’t believe it at first either but this information comes from a doctor, not me.
Based on this revelation we need to top-up our skin’s hydration levels topically and using surface hydrators like this one from NUORI is a great way to do it.
HOW DO I USE THIS AND WHEN?
Morning and evening, after cleansing and before serum and moisturiser is a great idea. Cotton pads create environmental waste and drink up most of the product so I wouldn’t bother with those. I recommend spraying 2 pumps into the palms of your hands and pat the liquid onto your face. If you have cleansed your face properly you don’t need to use this as a toner. If you want to be diligent why not keep it with you and spritz directly onto your face once or twice during the day.
