It's the last day for summer's final long weekend. As we say goodbye to the exploits that come with sun & surf, we chose 5 essentials to keep the visage lustrous and untarnished from the effects of summer.

SHISEIDO ULTIMATE SUN PROTECTION LOTION SPF 50+

Whether you're galavanting the world or scheduling some downtime at the pool, keep your skin protected on this extended holiday. SPF is always essential but even more so during prolonged exposure. This light-textured yet fully protective lotion form SHISEIDO is a Garçon's World favorite for it's non-greasy, subtle fragranced, completed effective performance. No flaking and no lobster skin.

LA ROCHA-POSAY ANTHELIOS SPF60

Your face isn't the only part that is vulnerable to UV rays, keep the rest of your body protected as well with this cooling water-lotion sunscreen that provides SPF 60 while transforming to a water-like lotion texture immediately upon contact with skin. We love the fragrance-free, paraben-free formula that absorbs to almost a dry finish. 80 minutes of water resistance also means more pool time and less down time.

FRESH ROSE FACE MASK

Here at Garçon's World, we swear by face masks. In our opinion, the best time to mask is on a long weekend. Spread this hydrating and toning gooey gel mask on skin to counter the effects of partying all weekend. This delicious mask contains actual rose petals and rose water along with an aloe and cucumber gel and green tea extract. Think of it as a superfood treatment for the skin.

THIS. Need everything on this list. Gold leaf papers, jasmine oxygenating clay cleansers? You guys are my bible now.

  • Jack Henry

Yes to Shiseido SPF. I was a basic Neutrogena SPFer until the Asian girls at college all had those blue bottles in their Louis Vuittons that they applied between classes.

    • Ryan

When in doubt always learn from trendy Asian girls!

  • Steven

How often should one get their mask on? Is there such a thing as overdoing it?

    • It depends what type of mask and your skin type. Oily skin? Be careful about overdoing thick buttery moisture masks. Dry skin? Watch how much clay masking you’re doing. Sensitive? Tread carefully when it comes to peels.

  • Gerry

Wondering if there is anything wrong with my Fresh Rose Mask, I had a sample of it and liked it. Ordered from Sephora and when it arrived, the stench was overwhelming like rotten rose jelly? Is mine just bad or is it supposed to smell like that?

    • Kregor’s Little Friend

I remember smelling this in store and thinking it was a little funky.
